First of all - Its a LOGITECH device - whether that means to you its of low or high quality is dependent on you, but in my experience ~ thats Great quality. Its cheap, it does the job I ask it to - which is mostly to use with my Xbox 360 and some headphones while I have my 360 attached to my computer monitor(No RCA connectors on it).Sounds great, and it does work well with my 5.1 speakers I occasionally set up to it for serious online sessions. My only possible gripe would have to be that there is no volume control on the device - but then again, my headphones or 360 have some degree of volume control ~ so the device works as advertised and is of great quality and is cheap: The definition of 5 Star Rating.
I have an older 19" Sony TV with only a single coaxial cable connection in my bedroom - still has a beautiful picture so I can't bring myself to get a newer one yet. I hooked up a DVD player with an RF modulator, got this little connector to hook up a Logitech 2.1 PC speaker set and it's just awesome. Now I have a nice little stereo TV/DVD set up for very little money. It's not surround sound, but it works for me.
I ordered this piece to hook my LCD HDTV up to my PC Speakers, specifically the Logitech Z-5300 5.1 Speakers. and I couldn't be happier with the combo. I've had the speakers for a while, and when I got my new LG LCD, I had to try them with the TV. This adapter is all I needed.
I have a set of Logitech PC Speakers and I wanted to hook them up to my PlayStation 3.The problem at hand was that the Logitech speakers use the three 1/8 stereo mini plug jack inputs ( Green Black and Yellow cables )While the PlayStation 3 only has HDMI and RCA ( Yellow [which is video], White and Red- which are the two Audio cables )So what I did is run HDMI for Video Only from the PlayStation 3 to my Sony Bravia. And then for Audio i ran RCA from the PlayStation 3 to the [ 5.1 Game Console Adapter Convert Rca Plugs To A Single 1/8 ] and then plugged in my Logitech speakers into the [ 5.1 Game Console Adapter Convert Rca Plugs To A Single 1/8 ] also.My speakers sound just fine and theres no odd feedback or anything. This was a very cheap and easy solution to using my PC speakers for my video game console
I have my ps3 hooked up to to an old logitec dell pc subwoofer and it sounds great.
